Battery update choices for Job Site Radios and introduces Bluetooth Speaker
Makita's Job Site radios can now be powered by the full range of Lithium-Ion batteries found in the Makita power tool range including the latest 10.8v CXT slide battery. This capability includes the 7.2v and 10.8v stick type batteries; the new 10.8v CXT slide type batteries and the popular 14.4v and 18v LXT slide type Li-Ion batteries.
The new Makita DMR200 Job Site Bluetooth speaker can be powered by an AC adaptor or via Makita CXT or LXT Li-Ion batteries for convenience when used on site or in the garden. None of these new devices are compatible with Ni-Cad, Ni-MH or G-series batteries.
The Makita DMR107 Job Site radio has full AM and FM frequency ranges, twin 76mm diameter speakers with a maximum output when using an 18v battery of 3.5watts from both speakers. This rugged IP64 protection rated dust and shower proof radio has elastomer bump protector casing, digital display, auxiliary device connection and AC adaptor.
The new ‘Bluetooth’ Makita DMR108 Job Site radio, which is available in either traditional Makita blue or striking black, is now equipped with Bluetooth Class 2 to wirelessly play music from a mobile device such as phone, MP3 player or tablet with a range up to 10 metres. With twin 86mm diameter speakers this is a great site stereo unit which also has a neat flat top to stably place mobile devices. It also features a USB output port that allows the mobile device to be charged from the radio. Both Job Site models have a soft grip handle which pivots to 90° and a flexible antenna that can be removed and stored inside the battery cover.
The ultimate site sound system may now be the Makita DMR200 Job Site Bluetooth speaker. This is a compact and lightweight speaker powered by either the Makita LXT or CXT Li-Ion battery range or from an AC supply which delivers a massive 10.0 watts output from the two-way speaker system, and features a 100mm diameter woofer and 36mm tweeter with a Bluetooth range of up to 10 metres. Features include AUX-IN jack; USB port for charging the mobile device; LED indicators to show power supply, maximum volume, and Bluetooth pairing / connectivity; IP64 protection rating and flat-top, anti slip surface for the portable device. Within the speakers compact proportions of 211mm x 199mm x 203mm there is an integral compartment to store your portable device so it can also be charged whilst stored within the speaker.
