Welcome temporary protection at M3 services
A new fire safety system, comprising a Kentec Syncro AS 16 Zone Control Panel with Apollo devices, is helping protect new temporary buildings at Welcome Break’s M3 southbound Fleet Services on the Surrey/Hampshire border, erected following a devastating fire in December 2016 that almost completely destroyed the former services building.
At its height, more than 100 firefighters from across the Hampshire/Surrey border fought to bring the flames under control. The M3 was closed in both directions for a short while and the southbound services were entirely closed until early January.
The new, temporary building, erected in the truck park to provide full facilities whilst the new permanent building is completed, houses a full range of outlets including Starbucks, a little Waitrose, Burger King, Harry Ramsden and WH Smith.
Kentec’s flagship ‘open protocol’ Syncro series, recognized as one of the most powerful systems of its type on the market today, guarantees the very highest standards of performance, safety and reliability.
Kentec’s Syncro series of fire control panels uses the most advanced microprocessor technology to provide a control system of extremely high integrity. Syncro can be configured to suit all types of system from the most simple to the highly complex. Its fully integrated and secure network provides an intelligent interface for building control.
