Borer Data Systems Fusion Access Control System
Borer Data Systems has developed Fusion-one of the world’s first access and facilities control system to
combine new-generation software and intelligent door access readers, delivered through a company’s IP infrastructure.
Benefits of the new Fusion Access Control System include 80% energy savings delivered through the new PowerWise power management system that delivers the low levels of energy needed to operate the intelligent reader and secure latch for each door.
Traditional access control systems demand a plethora of equipment to be installed around the door: reader head, lock, data cable, a mains power supply and spur, plus a control box for every door. Fusion just needs a single Ethernet cable, a highquality electric lock and Borer’s intelligent reader to deliver reliable access security.
Borer’s Fusion access control system uses a ‘hack-proof’ bridge to ensure there is a secure firewall between the access control network corporate LAN. With most IP-based systems, the corporate network is put at risk as it could be hacked into via any of the network cables that connect access control equipment to the network - particularly when those access points are outside the building perimeter.
