According to leading electrical wholesaler, Newey & Eyre, pubs are taking action in order to combat the potential for a downturn in custom following the smoking ban last year, with sales of outdoor lighting, heating and controls soaring.

The company has witnessed a significant increase in sales of outdoor lighting products since the ban was introduced last July, with sales rising by 40% as drinkers are forced outside.
