Sponsorship for BSD Racing team
Cooper is sponsoring the newly formed BSD Racing team in the 2010 Triumph Triple Challenge motorbike championship, which comprises 23 races at nine events across the UK.
The BSD Racing team was set up earlier this year by M&E consultancy, Building Services Design, and is spearheaded by rider Jamie Poole, who is a senior mechanical design engineer at the firm’s Corby office.
All participants in the Triumph Triple Challenge ride the same basic motorbike – a triple-cylinder Triumph Daytona 675 – and this even playing field makes for an exciting event where success is purely dependent on the rider’s ability.
With BSD Racing’s machine now sporting a Cooper logo, the lighting manufacturer will enjoy TV exposure throughout the season, as each event will be televised on either Eurosport or Motors TV.
Commenting on the announcement, Cooper Lighting’s marketing director, John Robb, said: "We are very pleased to have the opportunity to sponsor BSD Racing. Jamie is an experienced rider and has made a very promising start to the season. We wish him every success in this year’s championship."
