Housing Association standardises on its electrical accessories
Cartrefi Conwy has made the decision to install the Contactum Aspire range of electrical accessories into all its properties, as part of its WHQS (Welsh Housing Quality Standard) Internals Contract, which runs until 2012.
Consisting of 3,800 affordable properties - ranging from bedsits to houses - all properties on the refurbishment programme will carry the Aspire range of accessories that will include its full range of switches, sockets and ceiling accessories. Maintenance and cyclical schemes will also adhere to the same specification.
"As a proven product range that our maintenance department has used previously, there are various contributing factors that made the Aspire range from Contactum our first choice," said Wayne Bannister, contract manager at Cartrefi Conwy. "In addition to the products being competitively priced, having manufacturing facilities in Britain and brandishing a quality guarantee are an added bonus, the Aspire range offers an aesthetically pleasing range of accessories, not commonly used in the housing sector.
"One of the main reasons we decided to use Contactum lies in its excellent customer service. A contact is always on hand to resolve any potential issues efficiently and swiftly - a must for us to be able to maintain a continuation of service to our tenants, which is an important factor on the current improvement programme, where over 100 properties are being refurbished at any one time."
Aspire is the most recent addition to the moulded range from Contactum. The range includes a selection of products including switches, sockets, dimmers, cooker control units, telephone and data communication plates. Products come with a 25 year guarantee.
