The future of wiring devices?
Legrand has recently launched a new range of wiring devices that, it believes, will change the market. Arteor is a wiring device and home automation range that combines modern styling with state-of-the-art technology.
Commenting on the launch, Mark Evans, Legrand’s marketing director said: "Arteor has everything in terms of looks, functionality and technical capability and we strongly believe it can take wiring devices to a whole new level."
Designed to satisfy expectations from across the global, the range also includes enough functionality to satisfy everyone. From switches and sockets, through to advanced home automation systems, the range offers an array of stand-alone and system functions that make it suitable for use in both commercial and residential projects.
New products include fully customisable lighting and scenario controls, a 10in multimedia touch screen, and a universal dimmer that is capable of dimming all types of light sources, including compact fluorescent lamps and LEDs. Rockers are also available in two different formats – round and square.
The dual option of BUS (SCS) and radio frequency (Zigbee) home automation solutions means that Arteor can be interfaced with other systems too. Arteor BUS technology products are able to communicate with systems such as DALI and KNX, while the Arteor ZigBee products allow for communication where cabling is not possible.
Arteor is, initially, being offered in 17 different finishes, ranging from white moulded products through to innovative materials such as woven metal, leather, tattoo, brushed steel and wood.
