New PATBag for fast and simple appliance testing
A new PATBag test-kit concept from Seaward enables organisations of all types and sizes to meet their electrical safety responsibilities in a safe, simple and effective manner.
Specially designed to support fast and efficient electrical safety checking and testing routines, each PATBag comprises an easy to operate portable appliance tester with a test guide and training DVD alongside a log book for test results and a supply of ready-made pass/fail labels.
The new kits include a choice of manual testers including the handheld PrimeTest 250. The first electrical tester in its class to provide all the electrical tests required for compliance with the IEE Code of Practice for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, the PrimeTest 250 also has a host of other features.
These additional test capabilities include an RCD trip time test, a 3-phase leakage test and a 250V DC insulation test suitable for testing sensitive electrical appliances and surge protected leads.
The unique range of tests incorporated in this lightweight and highly versatile instrument means that most workplaces appliances can be tested using long life battery power. However the capability of the new tester also extends to powered earth leakage and touch current measurement tests when required.
In addition, for those operators that prefer to keep computerised test records, the Seaward PATBag options include a special PATGuard Elements software program providing a simplified database of test results, re-test dates and other data that can be used for the production of test reports and certificates.
All the electrical test equipment, accessories, software and supporting documentation is incorporated in a purpose-designed and lightweight carrying bag.
The new PATBags form part of a comprehensive range of portable appliance testers and accessories from Seaward to meet all workplace electrical safety testing needs. More from www.seaward.co.uk
