Award for Sylvania
Havells-Sylvania scored a double-triumph in the Lighting Association’s annual award scheme earlier this month. Beacon Muse picked up 2011 Commercial Product of the Year and the Sylvania Superia CMI-T mini 20w lamp was nominated in the Light Source of the Year category – the only traditional light source nominated in the category!
The Beacon LED range from the Concordcollection continued its run of industry award success at the Lighting Association’s Gala Awards Dinner on Thursday 7 July 2011 as it was the second major prize the range has won this year, sitting proudly alongside the Best Interior Luminaire crown picked up at the Lighting Design Awards.
“We are delighted that Beacon Muse has won this important award from the Lighting Association,” says Kuldeep Vali, SBU Director, Concord. “This is a very competitive category and it is gratifying when your industry peers recognise you have a great product. In its short life it has achieved classic status and its range of future-proof features will ensure it stays at the top of its class for a long time.”
Peter Hunt Chief Executive of The Lighting Association said “The evening was a huge success and the awards went to very worthy winners. The seminar programme followed by both the Student Design Awards and the Industry Awards proved to be a winning combination. Couple with that an extremely friendly crowd from the industry, and we had a recipe for an excellent night.”
