New enclosure range launched
Leading cable management specialist HellermannTyton has strengthened its product offering with the introduction of a fully encompassing range of enclosures. The company now offers the XS mild steel and stainless steel series as well as the XP GRP and plastic series.
The XS metallic enclosures offer a wide variety of benefits and advantages. For example, the XS1000 ranges of mild steel enclosures is rated at IP66 and can withstand dust and powerful jets of water – making them suitable for settings where the equipment will have to be hosed down.
The new range of steel enclosures are also IK10 rated – offering a high degree of protection against external mechanical impacts. This can be of particular importance in outdoor applications as a way to safeguard electrical equipment from vandalism.
The extended product portfolio now incorporates a wider choice of materials, colours sizes and IP ratings, ensuring a solution can be found for all applications and environments. For example the XP ranges of reinforced polyester Polyamide 66 thermoplastic enclosures offer an IP rating of 65, making them suitable for dusty and damp conditions. In addition, the enclosure is also resistant to water and chemicals and has a high mechanical resistance to impacts – ideal for arduous settings.
The XP ranges of wall mounting glass fibre polyester enclosures, which are rated IP66, are particularly suitable for mounting electrical or electronic equipment in aggressive environments, where polyester offers a high quality solution with a prolonged life span.
All of the new ranges HellermannTyton non-metallic enclosures are manufactured from self-extinguishing material, significantly reducing the risk of fire. Within the new ranges, the enclosures operate in temperature ranges of somewhere between -20 deg C up to 120 deg C, with a solution to suit all purposes.
The complete range of XS 1000 HT enclosures are manufactured in RAL7035, which is now the industry standard colour for enclosures. Each one also comes with the chassis plate as standard, helping to save valuable time and money. Electrical engineers can also choose from 28 different sizes, ensuring the right solution for their specific needs.
Metallic and non-metallic mounting plates, complete with a wide choice of accessories, including wall fixing lugs, screws and vent devices, are also available.
HellermannTyton has developed a number of services to alleviate time pressures on busy electrical engineers and contractors, including the function to deliver enclosures with holes and cut-outs to a pre-ordered specification on almost all enclosures in the range. In addition, the company is also offering enclosures that are fitted with a range of equipment including din rails, terminals, trunking and sockets, again helping to save customers time and money.
