Cut Out Time and Money for Distribution Board Installation!

The new Memshield 3 cable trunking interface kit from Eaton’s Electrical Sector makes it easy to save time and money when making cable cut-outs during the installation of distribution boards.

When installation is complete, the kit also provides simple but effective mechanical protection for the cables against damage caused by the sharp edges of cut steel trunking, eliminating the need for users to rely on inconvenient custom solutions.

Designed primarily for use with distribution boards in Eaton’s popular Memshield 3 range, the kit allows the boards to be interfaced quickly and easily with standard steel trunking. Each kit comprises a gasket manufactured from durable high quality plastic, which has a ready-made cut-out to allow the passage of cables and holes for fixing screws.

The gasket is initially used as a template to assist in the cutting of the fixing screw holes and the cable access hole in the trunking. The cable access hole is made slightly larger than the hole in the gasket. The gasket is then permanently installed, sandwiched between the distribution board and the trunking. When in place, the gasket covers the sharp edges of the cut-out in the trunking thereby eliminating the risk of cable damage.

Inexpensive to buy and simple to use, Eaton’s new cable trunking interface kit make Memshield 3 distribution boards an even more attractive choice for use in commercial and industrial installations of all types.

Other benefits offered by these popular three-phase boards, which are available in 125A and 250A versions, include welded construction for strength and rigidity, IP4X environmental protection rating, blanking modules for unused MCB ways to enhance safety, and removable busbar assemblies to assist installation.
