Cable identifier
Bowden Bros is pleased to announce an important addition to its range of Lee Vaughan Cable Identifiers with the introduction of the MKV which offers additional features to improve the effectiveness and make cable identification easier.
Designed to identify a target cable from many cables at a remote location, the transmitter is applied to two cores of the dead cable at the substation, or accessible end, and the same two cores shorted at the far end.
The receiver is used at the point of location to pick up the rise and fall of the twisted cores within the cable for positive identification.
The MKV incorporates the following features to make this task even easier and more positive:
• Selectable power output gives 4 times power compared with MKIV
• Additional remote roving coil allows easy access to tightly bunched cables
