Plug and play switching for solar PV
As installers race to fit Solar PV to roofs around the country before the Feed in Tariff changes in March, they face a common problem.
From experienced Solar PV installation companies to installers new to the sector, all face the issue of time, wiring in complex systems often in cramped space and to a deadline. Crompton Solar has designed a fully tested plug and play switching system, making it easier and more time efficient for all installers to get the job done with confidence and to a high standard.
Experienced Solar PV installers will benefit by saving time, confident in the knowledge that Crompton Solar has 100% tested every unit. Roofers and electricians who are newer to the sector will save much head scratching trying to fathom how to do it on site. The robust lightweight Combi-Switch, available in either plastic or steel casing, will simply plug in saving up to 90 minutes on site per installation. Plus Crompton use only true DC isolators, not an AC type derated or re-wired for DC operation. This does away with the problem that the AC type of switch is self extinguishing, guaranteeing a reliable supply.
Crompton products have a long reputation for quality and ingenuity and each unit is 100% tested before leaving the factory. Installers can be confident that this unique switching solution will do the job it sets out to do effectively and with renowned back up and technical support.
In addition to the Combi-Switch, installers now have the option of the Combi-Complete which combines the inverter, the Combi-Switch and the meter. This system was designed to provide a total solution for large roll out or one off installations. Not only does it save installation time it also ensures that all the control components arrive together fully wired, tested and work with a certificate to prove it!
Install teams are more efficient and not waiting for that one missing component which all adds up to saving time and money on site. The Combi-Complete is a real plug and play option. It literally can be installed out of the box. No longer do installers have to build the whole system in the roof!
