Schneider gains approval for energy university

In continuing to champion industry training and education, Schneider Electric has received Construction CPD Certification Service accreditation for all the EnergyUniversity courses.

EnergyUniversity is a free online educational community that provides the latest information and professional training on energy efficiency concepts and best practice across various applications.

From contractors, architects and developers through to business owners, EnergyUniversity is designed to help anyone involved in energy management to address efficiency issues and apply cost-effective measures. The website incorporates more than fifty courses, covering everything from energy efficiency fundamentals through to complex issues such as measuring and benchmarking energy performance.

The Construction CPD Certification Service accreditation means that the website’s content has been independently verified to be unbiased, up-to-date and technically accurate. As a result, anyone who completes an EnergyUniversity course will now receive CPD points.

CPD is a business tool for architects and construction professionals. If planned well and implemented alongside appraisals, CPD can help to enhance productivity, earning power, morale, competence, job satisfaction, career prospects, client relations, recruitment and safety. It offers a way for individuals to update their skills and knowledge and, ultimately, gain a competitive edge.

David Lewis, Energy Efficiency Marketing Manager at Schneider Electric comments: “In this new energy world, education and awareness is paramount. However, with so many new technologies and concepts emerging all the time, keeping up to speed is no easy task and there is a real industry thirst for knowledge and training. With this in mind, we have invested significant resource in our EnergyUniversity, providing users with a raft of commercial-free training that will benefit the environment and their bottom line while, in turn, adding to their professional credentials.”
