Thermal imaging short courses
A good knowledge of the principles of infrared is a vital for all novice thermographers and FLIR provides training via its Infrared Training Centre (ITC) or through its distributor network in the UK and Ireland.
The next stage is to apply this knowledge to potential applications that the new user is likely to encounter, and it is for this purpose that FLIR ITC has introduced three new short courses to its 2012 programme.
Thermal imaging is fast becoming an industry standard method for locating hidden problems in building fabric and for spotting and preventing energy loss. The new FLIR short courses in building science and HVAC provide a practical introduction to best practice in these respective fields.
Electrical applications are the subject of the third FLIR short course, a massive market for thermal imaging. Several factors need to be borne in mind when scanning for electrical faults – heat reflection and emissivity are just two. The course also addresses important safety issues.
All three short courses have been running since the start of 2012 but the following have now been confirmed:
• Thursday 17 May Electrical Watford
• Friday 18 May Building Watford
• Thursday 14 June HVAC Weybridge
