Riello UPS named ‘Company of the Year’
Riello UPS, one of Europe’s largest UPS manufacturers, was named UPS Company of the Year at the recent Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Awards.
After extensive analysis of the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) market, the judges at Frost & Sullivan were impressed with Riello UPS’ product portfolio as well as its growth through organic development and strategic acquisitions.
The Company of the Year award is presented to a company that has excelled in growth strategy and implementation and in achieving a high degree of innovation with products and technologies. The company is also commended for its leadership in customer value and market penetration.
Riello UPS has steadily ranked among the top five players in the European UPS market over the last decade. Its revenues have risen by 85% in 2011 compared to 2005, while its market share has grown from around 9% to 11% in 2011.
In 2011, Riello UPS acquired Marm UPS, an Australian UPS company, forming part of its strategy to maintain a direct presence worldwide.
Research analyst for Frost & Sullivan, Gautham Gnanajothi said: “An extensive and versatile portfolio of high-quality products catering to diverse applications, coupled with a dedicated customer-centric approach, have been central to Riello’s success. Given the period from 2008 to 2010 was one of the toughest in Europe and worldwide, Riello’s strong growth is reflective of the company’s best-in-class products and services.”
Robin Koffler, General Manager of Riello UPS attended the event and accepted the award for Riello. He said: “Riello is working its way to achieving its objective of extensive global presence. In areas where a direct presence is difficult, Riello employs a highly trained and efficient sales network and creates strong partnerships with distributors to achieve faster sales. Receiving this award from Frost & Sullivan is a great honour and a testament to Riello’s position as a total service provider, offering a complete range of UPS solutions synonymous with reliability and resilience.
“Our recent development of the Multi Sentry UPS range demonstrates Riello’s forward thinking approach. The 10-120kVA range was developed following feedback from customers and offers them up to 50% savings in energy compared to a traditional UPS system.”
Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.
