Rainford Solutions supporting countryside broadband network initiative
The digital divide between remote and rural communities verses large conurbations has long been a concern in the countryside of the UK. In order to tackle this problem, local residents of a Lancashire hamlet set-up B4RN, a not-for-profit organisation that will provide them with modern fast fibre-optic network to rival any city.
Rainford Solutions of St Helens UK are proud to deliver a FTTH cabinet to B4RN, the first of its kind for the ‘Broadband for Rural North’ project.
Rainford Solutions’ enclosures, supporting this countryside broadband network, are already in place at the Quernmore location. The enclosures with landscape friendly design help keep the rural views intact while providing top performance for all housed fibre optics.
"These fibre-only cabinets (together with the full-capacity buried ducts) are a far neater solution providing a higher reliability, future-proofed solution for generations to come. Do it once and do it correctly!” says one of the B4RN’s team member. "We are all in favour of long term solutions for keeping rural Britain connected!"
