Pierlite expands operations and products ranges
One of the leading manufacturers in the world, Pierlite, is expanding its UK operations. Established in the 1930s, Pierlite employs 3,000 people worldwide with manufacturing plants in four continents producing over 3,000 product lines. Pierlite is growing in the UK.
The 148 page specialist DOT downlights catalogue was recently launched adding to a comprehensive number of catalogues including the 300 page lighting catalogue, a specialist tubular lighting range and a schools and education catalogue.
This all highlights the capacity of Pierlite to provide a complete ‘one-stop’ shop of lighting products in the UK.
All types of lighting are offered by Pierlite, including architectural, industrial, commercial and residential, together with specialist floodlighting, emergency and roadway lighting.
As Neil Spurling, MD for Pierlite UK commented: “Pierlite has been well-known in the UK supporting lighting design projects. I am delighted our cost-effective products are now available to contractors through the electrical wholesaler market. Prior to launch, all Pierlite products undergo rigorous research and testing to ensure we deliver lighting products that can back up the performance statistics we quote.
Pierlite products ‘do watt they say’ and if we state, for example, our low energy lights have an equivalent output of traditional GLS lamps of 50W then customers can rest assured this is the case.”
And now, Pierlite has launched its latest energy efficient lighting product. The Polo is a low profile T5 circular fluorescent bulkhead with a difference. Pierlite has developed this IP65 rated luminaire with integral electronic control gear, designed to deliver over 50,000 hours of use.
Available in two functional sizes, the Polo 22w measures 350mm diameter while the Polo 40w has a diameter of 430mm. Polo is suitable for installation in a variety of environments including interior and covered residential or commercial properties. The clean lines also make Polo an ideal choice for healthcare establishments where issues of infection control and easy maintenance are of prime importance.
In addition, the benefits of exterior lighting have long been recognised by security professionals. However, the problems associated with inferior products such as rusted casings and poor quality PIR sensors can result in intermittent and unreliable lighting.
