Type F RCCBs from Doepke
Conventional type AC RCD’s used in most domestic installations, are not designed to detect high frequency leakage currents generated by the electronic modules used in some washing machines, vacuum cleaners, dishwashers, heating pumps and ballasts in lighting systems.
In addition to not being able to detect high frequency leakage currents, AC RCDs designed for 50Hz supplies subjected to high frequency leakage currents can overheat, resulting in the RCD not being able to trip under earth fault conditions.
Unlike type AC RCCBs, type F RCCBs from Doepke detect AC residual currents and pulsating DC residual currents at mains frequency as well as AC residual currents with mixed frequencies, and have a surge current immunity of 3 kA.
