A range of fluorescent lighting has been used throughout a recent refurbishment project in Weston-super-Mare.
Locking Primary School is now home to a number of T5 fluorescent lighting fixtures, with the council pleased with the energy savings they are achieving as a result of utilising the T5 fluorescent lighting range.
Making full use of Dextra Lighting’s extensive range of surface and recessed fluorescent lighting, the school is now home to a range of fixtures which includes the DexT5 Surface, Graduate T5 and Discalo luminaires.
The DexT5 Surface luminaire is suitable for a variety of different settings including office lighting, university and school lighting, commercial lighting and retail applications and was used in the classrooms within this project.
The attractive, ultra-slim shape offered by the T5 luminaire makes it suitable for a wide range of applications and adds to the versatile nature of the product. The luminaire offers a combination of high performance with superb energy efficiency and certain variants are compliant with BSEN 12464, meeting the required standards of lighting for indoor work places.
The DexT5 Surface is designed with 600 x 600 or 1200 x 600 housing, ensuring that any existing luminaires can be replaced with energy efficient alternatives both quickly and efficiently. This also reduces the need for redecoration and minimising costs. All DexT5 Surface fittings are also supplied including lamps.
Circulation areas and school toilets are now home to the Protec range of compact fluorescent downlights. The highly flexible products are designed with versatility and performance in mind. A range of six different body formats ensures that the luminaire is highly suitable for a variety of different settings.
From corridor lighting and hospitality, to retail lighting solutions, the Protec is available in vertical, medium, horizontal, large horizontal, wall-wash, surface and IP65 body formats to suit the demands of a host of different settings.
Their attractive white powder coated steel housing ensures the luminaires are robust and sturdy to cope with the demands of the environment, as well as looking aesthetically pleasing.
Combined with a light output ratio of up to 82%, high frequency control gear and a number of dimming options, the luminaire boasts a host of features which make it a desirable luminaire for a range of environments.
The popular Graduate T5 luminaire was also utilised within the school’s refurbishment project. Alongside fully retained polycarbonate end caps, the luminaire is supplied with high frequency control gear and is ideal for educational establishments such as schools, colleges and universities as well as walkways, hospitals and other healthcare settings.
