LED drivers offer installers and users greater flexibility for low-wattage intelligent lighting systems
Sunpower’s new LCM-25(DA) 25 W constant current LED power supply allows designers to implement low-wattage intelligent LED lighting control systems and project style lighting designs. The LCM 25(DA) is the latest addition to the LCM series which already includes 40 W and 60 W constant current products. Its output, while maintaining a constant current to meet LED requirements, can be flexibly set to different levels from 350 mA to over an amp by a built-in DIP switch. The LCM-25 features a 2 in 1
The LCM-25(DA) operates from 180 – 277 VAC input and, with built-in active PFC, meets the harmonic current limitation set by EN61000-3-2 Class C (> 50% load). In line with related luminary requirements, it also has 2 kV heavy-industry surge-level immunity between line and neutral. With next-generation circuit design, the LCM-25(DA) provides up to 86% efficiency, allowing cooling simply by free air convection in ambient temperatures from -30°C to +60°C. No-load power consumption is less than 0.5 W.
The LCM-50(DA) is a rectangular, low profile (23 mm) fully insulated IP20 rated plastic enclosed power supply offering a unique feature for ease of installation; unlike the industry standard design of inputs at the front and outputs at the rear, all LCM-50(DA) I/O connections are along one side of the enclosure. This enables easy access, with efficient use of limited space during installation and wiring.
The supplies feature Class ll design with no frame ground and protection from short circuit and over temperature. International lighting safety regulation certification includes UL8750, CSA C22.2 No. 250.0-08, ENEC EN61347-2-13, and EN62384. Additionally, the LCM-25DA complies with IEC62386-101, 102 and 207 norms for DALI lighting control systems.
The LCM-25(DA) offers both installers and users great flexibility in meeting the increasing demands of intelligent dimming applications. Yet, even with their flexibility and intelligence, these systems can be widely distributed, as the furthest slave can be up to 120 m from the master unit. They can be used for both indoor and outdoor LED lighting applications, including LED decorative, office and commercial lighting – and a three-year warranty comes as standard.
