Newey & Eyre Heatshrink

With cable management being crucial to the integrity of all electrical installations, leading electrical wholesaler Newey & Eyre has improved its selection of Newlec cable management solutions, with the launch of a new range of heatshrink products.

Newey & Eyre prides itself on providing one of the most extensive own brand ranges on the market, offering 3,000 plus quality Newlec products. Heatshrink is the latest addition to this widely and consistently available selection, helping installers to harness, insulate and identify cables effectively.

Made from standard grade polyolefin, heatshrink is designed to protect electrical connections from moisture and damage. Available in four colours; blue, black, brown and grey, which makes it easy to colour code wires and connections, for safety and identification.

When heated to 100ºC with a hot air gun or naked flame, the product shrinks to half its size creating a permanent covering to insulate wires, connections and joints. Available in four diameters (6.4mm, 12.8mm, 19.1mm and 25.4mm), it only shrinks five per cent in length, reducing wastage and helping the user to work well under greater time and cost pressures.

Heatshrink retains its strength and shape between temperatures of -55ºC to 125ºC, no matter the application. The self extinguishing product will not burn and is RoHS (Resistance of Hazardous Substances) compliant, making it resistant to common fluids and solvents.
