ACT Meters Datalogging Multimeter
ACT Meters Ltd has launched what it believes to be the ‘next generation’ of multimeter for troubleshooting alarm and other electrical systems.
The ACT720 Troubleshooting Datalogging Multimeter will independently monitor equipment and locate faults first time, every time.
With 10 selectable sample rates from 0.05 seconds (50ms) to 480 seconds (8 minutes) per sample, the ACT720 is suited for high speed data collection or long time studies. It is capable of storing up to 43,000 data readings that can be viewed either directly on the LCD display or downloaded onto a PC to create graphic displays of event data.
These functions enable the user to quickly and effectively analyse, predict and prevent faults from occurring thus reducing downtime and cut costs.
David Grant, managing director, says: “Although complex in design, the ACT720 is practical in use. It will troubleshoot most types of alarm circuit cable and detection devices as well as verify operation of good, intermittent and faulty devices. By scrolling through the results of each device tested, troublesome detectors and resistance faults can be identified and shown to the client before remedial work is carried out.
