The manufacturer’s Odyssey range of cable management solutions is a good example. Odyssey is the only all-curved system on the market, offering designers a great looking trunking guaranteed to remain clutter-free. But it’s not just a pretty face. Odyssey is Cat 6 compliant, can be supplied with colour contrasting accessory boxes to satisfy Part M of the Building Regulations, and with an electro-magnetic shielding option.
Odyssey is compatible with Marshall-Tufflex’s MT32 Power Connection System. Plug-and-play MT32 offers installers and clients a range of benefits, including time and cost savings on site and easier reconfiguration of electrical circuits, for example during office renovations or change of use.
Odyssey is also one of the many trunking profiles that Marshall-Tufflex offers within its Bio Trunking Solutions range. Standard Odyssey is already a great choice for sensitive environments such as hospitals, surgeries, care and nursing homes – even schools – thanks to its easy-to-keep-clean curves. However, specify it as a Bio option and contractors can install a system that delivers greater peace of mind thanks to a proven antimicrobial agent impregnated into the PVC-U trunking. This silver-based agent can assist with the control of potentially lethal bacteria such as MRSA, Klebsiella pneumoniae, E-coli, and Streptococci, reducing bacteria counts by more than 99.9%. The system has been tested to ISO 22196:2007, is compliant with the European Biocidal Products Directive and registered with the Environmental Protection Agency.
