Prysmian Fire Performance Training
Prysmian Cables & Systems is able to offer customers anywhere in the UK, free on-site training on all aspects of fire performance cable specification and regulations.
The training seminars are designed to keep M&E design engineers and specifiers up to date will all the regulations affecting fire performance cabling systems, relevant standards, products and their applications. Seminar sessions are interactive and informal and can be tailored to meet individual customer requirements.

Three different training topics are offered:
1) Recent changes in British Standards looking specifically at BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008, the standard that applies to the installation of fire detection and alarm systems for buildings
2) Specification for cable systems, specifically BS7346-6:2005, components for smoke and heat control systems
3) A new approach to mechanically and electrically protected, IEE Wiring Regulations compliant cables for use in thin walls and partitions (clause 522.6 of 17th Edition)
