Zigor Appoint New Distributor In Asia

Leading uninterruptible power supply manufacturer Zigor has reached an agreement with a new distributor in South Korea as part of its global expansion plans in Asia.
Taekyung Electrical Industries Co., Ltd has been recruited to sell Zigor’s high-quality UPS products after representatives from the Seoul-based company visited the factory in Spain. Taekyung opened in 2003 and is based in Seoul and employees around 1,200 people. Zigor welcomed Taekyung president Kim Byung-Sang and director Charlie Kim to their base in Vitoria-Gasteiz in northern Spain last November. During their stay, Mr Byung-Sang and Mr Kim were given product demonstrations and taken to field installations carried out by Zigor. A distribution agreement was then reached between the two companies just before the Christmas break. Zigor sales and marketing manager Jesús Maria Eguiluz said: “It is an honour for Zigor to announce that Taekyung Electrical Industries Co., Ltd. has been appointed as our new distributor in South Korea. The new agreement provides us with a fantastic opportunity to expand our penetration in Asia and we look forward to working with our new partner.” Mr Kim said: “We would like to thank Zigor for their hospitality during our recent visit to Spain. We were very satisfied. Zigor is an excellent technology company.” Zigor is set to complete its first installation of a sag compensation system Set DVR 300 kVA in South Korea this month which represents an important milestone for the company’s business development in Asia. The DVR is designed to eradicate the effect of electrical disturbances on critical industrial processes through the elimination of sags and transitory over voltages.
